Mission: Enriching Lives through vocal harmony in the greater DC area.

Programs

Shows and Performances: In September 2024 we produced our annual Fall Show for an audience of 230 at Bishop Ireton HS in Alexandria. In October we performed for an audience of 300 at the Asbury Methodist Village in Gaithersburg, MD. In December a VLQ (Very Large Quartet) performed holiday songs for Blue Star families at the BAE offices in Falls Church, VA. and the Harmonizers and Metro Voices produced our annual Holiday Show for an audience of 572 at Fairlington United Methodist Church in Alexandria, VA. In February the Harmonizers and Metro Voices performed for an audience of 150 at the George Washington National Masonic Memorial in connection with the showcase performance of our youth chorus (Capital Force). A Harmonizers VLQ performed for an audience of 190 for the Defense Attache Association at the Danish Embassy in Washington, DC. In March 2025 Metro Voices performed for an audience of 70 for the Virginia chapter of the American Association of University Women. In May the Harmonizers and Metro Voices performed for an audience of 900 in "One Voice" hosted by the Alexandria Choral Society at the Schlesinger Performing Arts Center in Alexandria. In August, the Harmonizers and Metro Voices toured Ireland and performed for audiences of 583 in Galway, Bandon and Lark, Ireland.

Expenses: $25K

Education and Outreach: In conjunction with the District of Columbia Department of Secondary Schools, organized and conducted a day-long barbershop harmony training event for over 100 high school music students from the greater Washington DC area. Provided teacher and student vocal lessons and event support for the DCPS High School Vocal Showcase. Support included teaching artists, music materials, and directing.

Expenses: $9K

Program Management and Administration: Provided rehearsal space for the choruses, and storage facilities for costumes, props, and archived records. Maintained external and internal websites for communication with our customers and members.
