Mission

The Alexandria Singers is a non-profit education and mixed voice choral group that performs predominately American popular music, including pop tunes, show tunes, golden oldies, country and jazz - the only one of its kind in the Washington DC area. Founded in 1975 by 16 people, the group has grown to more than 80 members. Singers range in age from 20 to 70+ and hold a variety of jobs and interests. What they all have in common is their love of singing. The Alexandria Singers are sponsored by the City of Alexandria, Virginia.
