The aea mission is to enhance the quality of education in puerto rico by strenghtering effective and succesful models of alternative education, leading to the integral formationof people who interrupted their education, to prevent school dropout and guide them toward new and productive life opportunities.

Aspira de puerto rico. Aspira alternative school is a non-traditional alternative educational model that serves young people aged 14 to 21 who are at risk of dropping out of school without finishhing the fourth year of high school. Aspira alternative schooll of mayaguez held an educational and health services fair with the purpose of orienting the community about the health services and support available for their benefit. The students of carolina alternative school participates in a cultural experience at the "frutos del guacabo farm". They connected with nature expanding their knowledgge about flowers, fauna and local products. This experimental learning experience allowed, in a practical way, to recognize the importante of sustainable agriculture in our country.

Centros sor isolina ferre inc-csif. Primary mission of csif has always been the integral development of the person in the community. For the past 5 decades, csif have been a community revitalization project based on a series of values. This path, is what csif wants to follow through the social architecture project. This proyect will include indiviudual art from each of the 12 values that guide the work of csif. The values are illustrated by construction figures that are held by hands, aligning the creative with the idea, with the concept of scaffolding, of construction, of design architecture of a new puerto rico.

Nuestra escuela inc. -ne . This proyect develops a model of comminity-based alternative education, supported by a transforming and liberating power initiative that values human and social qualities of it students. Since the past 20 years n.e. Have transformed the lives of thousands of young people and their families through a unique service model in pr education, based on supporting the emotional, social, physical and sipiritual demensions of young people who did not succeed in the traditional school system. The model allows young people to enter the academic world in a safer and more succesful way, changing the paradigma that has existed for decades on the phenomenom of dropout.

Proyecto nacer -pn is a christian nonprofit organization that provides services to the first time teen parents and pregnant teens up to 18 years who also work. This organization represents the only alternative for the comprehensive development of adolescent fathers and mothers of puerto rico, where their service model is centered on the family. Nicolle and rose mary recount how they have had to grow up and change their course now that they will be mothers. They are participants in the pn project in bayamon, pr. The organization guides teenagers toward responsible parenthood, helps them complete their fourth year in high school studies, and cares for infants while their parents improve themselves through education or the the work enviroment. With the help and guidance that the adolescents have recieved at the pn, where they not only take classes to complete the high shool, but also have courses on the birth process, the importante of breastfeeding and how to raise their baby. Now they have more hope.
