Alimentando Al Pueblo

COMUNIDAD: COMUNIDAD advanced health, belonging, and community power through culturally centered outreach, including training community leaders on mental-health-informed vaccine education, preparing for a 2025 Food Justice Ambassador Academy, and providing free CPR certification for 40 community members. The program reduced barriers to social services and wellness through elder engagement events, mental health listening sessions, and FAFSA support in partnership with Highline College. As a co-founder and co-leader of the Burien Collaborative, COMUNIDAD strengthened a 40-organization network committed to shared learning, resource coordination, and collective action for equity and community well-being.

CELEBRACIN: CELEBRACIN hosted culturally rooted events that brought joy, pride, and connection to more than 2,000 community members across key gatherings like Bidi Bidi Bom Bash, Da de los Nies, Back to School Bash, and La Posada. We strengthened Latinx-centered giving through campaigns like La Coperacha, Comida y Corazn, and Fiestas con el Pueblo, partnering with six local businesses and hosting more than 10 community events. Together, these celebrations deepened cultural belonging, intergenerational connection, and community leadership.
