To receive and administer funds for the benefit of charitable purposes and to lessen the financial burdens of the government of the state of Michigan; To raise funds from the general public to finance certain expenses that would otherwise be incurred by Michigan taxpayers; To support and encourage educational, charitable, and community projects that promote the work of the Commission to Address Gun Violence; To educate the public and organizations on holistic upstream factors contributing to gun violence in all its forms, including community violence, suicide, and mass shootings; To develop and/or fund pilot programs based on Commission to Address Gun Violence recommendations.
