Educational and Community Engagement Programs: The Alliance for Full Acceptance (AFFA) produces programs throughout the year that are designed to educate, connect and support the LGBTQ community and our allies. Programs have included moderated conversations with thought leaders on topics related to LGBTQ community, interviews with community organizers and activists to highlight the broader LGBTQ movement, educational skill-building programs to equip community members to participate in advocacy efforts. AFFA hosts a monthly LBGTQ Empowerment Group that serves the adult LGBTQ population as a gathering for connection and support. AFFA also maintains an online resource hub that directs LGBTQ community to qualified and culturally competent service providers.
0LGBTQ Cultural Competency Training: The Alliance for Full Acceptance (AFFA) conducts training and workshops througout the state of South Carolina that focuses on LGBTQ cultural competency, awareness and inclusion across multiple disciplines. Workshops are customized to meet the unique needs and goals of the participating organizations, which have included medical and mental health care providers, law enforcement, students and business leaders.
