Mission
Alliance for Smiles (AfS) sends medical teams, provides training and support to foreign locations to offer free medical services to indigent children with untreated cleft lips and palates.

In fiscal year July 1 2024 through June 30 2025 AFS sent 1 medical mission Hue Vietnam where a 19 patients received a total of 27 cleft procedures. In continuation of the VEI Virtual Education Initiative AFS implemented during the pandemic, live trainings were provided to local healthcare workers at the host medical facilities during these missions.
In fiscal year July 1 2024 through June 30 2025 AFS sent 1 medical mission to Guayaquil Ecuador where 30 patients received 40 cleft procedures. In continuation of the VEI Virtual Education Initiative AFS implemented during the pandemic, live trainings were provided to local healthcare workers at the host medical facility during this mission.
