The 6G Roadmap for Vertical Industries report was published in May, building on the Next G Alliances (NGA) Roadmap to 6G. The NGAs Research Council delivered a set of recommendations to advance NGA goals in unison with the government and 6G academic research communities. The NGA launched global collaboration with 6G-IA (Europe), the Bharat 6G Alliance (India), Beyond 5G Promotion Consortium (Japan), and the Korea 6G Forum, to advance North American priorities. The NGA welcomed delegates from Koreas 6G Forum to a two-day meeting. The NGA participated in the 3GPP Stage 1 May Workshop on Use Cases delivering a presentation on North American use case priorities, along with representatives from the other regional 6G research organizations.

ATIS engaged in a series of U.S. government efforts focused on domestic competitiveness in critical and emerging technologies (CET): ATIS filed comments in response to NISTs Request for Information seeking public comment on the National Standards Strategy. ATIS underscored the critical role of fostering robust U.S. engagement in international standards to drive innovation, interoperability, and economic competitiveness on a global scale. ATIS supported the Promoting U.S. Leadership in Standards Act of 2024, introduced by Senators Warner and Blackburn. The NGA, tasked by the E.U.-U.S. Technology and Trade Council to collaborate with its European counterpart--the 6G Industry Association (6G-IA), published the EU-US Beyond 5G/6G Roadmap. The NGAs comments submitted to the NTIA regarding the Implementation Plan for the National Spectrum Strategy, emphasized the critical role of collaborative efforts in spectrum access and management.
