Awmf provides scholarships to college and graduate students pursuing careers in journalism, communications, film and/or the media industry. During 2022, the following scholarship programs were offered by awmf: (i) in partnership with the national cable telecommunications association (ncta), awmf provides a $5,000 scholarship to a deserving female communications/media undergraduate or graduate student. (ii) awmf also partners with espn to help pave the way for black & hispanic women in the sports media industry. Two $5,000 educational scholarships are awarded to one promising black female undergraduate student and one hispanic female undergraduate student, pursuing careers in sports media.
