The awm holds an annual event entitled "gracies leadership awards" that provides an opportunity to recognize and celebrate the significant impact women have made in the media industry, while also spurring to action and emboldening female leaders in attendance.

Networking/mentoring opportunities: awm connects is a virtual mentoring program offered by awm that connects young/new professionals with senior level executives throughout television, radio and digital media. Awm hosts a breakfast during the national association of broadcasters annual conference that provides networking and education discussion with leaders in the media industry.
