In addition, aiu supports educationally, administratively and financially other schools in several countries including 5 other schools in france and schools in israel and morocco. Nearly 15 000 students are enrolled. Basic primary education up to the high school level is provided with a focus on instruction in french culture and language and jewish culture and tradition. All the schools must adhere to the credo of the aiu which is to defend human rights by scrupulously teaching pluralism and tolerance and being open to students and staff of all races, ethnic and national origins and religions. Some of the schools were audited for teaching effectiveness (pedagogical audits), some schools received teaching materials created by aiu and a few schools received financial support. Financial audits are conducted by aiu when financial support is contemplated. Concerning earmarked gifts, aiu remains master of the funds. If irregularities are spotted, the transfer is not made.

Alliance also organizes conferences and cultural activities, makes a limited number of grants to further such activities and operates a library. A limited number of scholarships are also granted.
