Mission

The alliance of idaho is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides low-cost immigration legal services for families in blaine county and the surrounding communities. We advocate alongside our immigrant neighbors, coworkers, and friends for their dignity and a prosperous future.

Programs

3 programs

Hazte valer: initial consultation program: hazte valer means assert yourself or make yourself matter. Through "hazte valer," our immigration attorney offers hour-long initial consultations to anyone who has immigration questions or needs help or a second opinion.

Expenses: $47K

Wood river asylum project (wrap): the alliance is the only non-profit in blaine county that takes on asylum cases due to their complicated and time-consuming nature. Through wrap, the alliance offers clients access to low-bono and pro-bono legal services at a radically reduced rate based on income. The right to seek asylum is guaranteed by the constitution, by u.s. Statutory law, and by our treaty obligations.

Expenses: $35K

Project solo: special immigrant juvenile status program: special immigrant juvenile status (sijs) is an immigration classification designed to protect immigrants under the age of 21 who have been abused, neglected, or abandoned by one or both parents a situation that is common in blaine county. Sijs requires that immigration attorneys expand their practices to include representing their child clients in both family/state court and immigration court. Project solo empowers and shelters this precarious group of children by helping them obtain legal permanent residence in the united states.
