Provide information, resources & equipment to als patients, families and caregivers in nebraska and western iowa. In 2023 the organization has also started to provide these services on a limited basis to patients and families outside of nebraska and western iowa.

Als in the heartland currently offers the brad meyer memorial scholarship fund for families that are or have been served by als in the heartland. The purpose of the scholarship fund is to provide financial assistance to students whose ability to cover the costs of schooling is compromised as a result of their family's financial burden of als. The fund also provides resources for enrolling the children of als patients in activities that would be unattainable due to financial contraints. Examples include sports activities, dance and music lessons etc.
