The foundation supports mental health initiatives in mountain communities, focusing on four primary programs: (1) grants to mountain community screenings of "the paradise paradox, a film that explores the mental health crises affecting america's mountain towns and the innovative solutions being developed in response; (2) specialized psychotherapy grants for first responders in the mountains: ski patrol, bike patrol and heli guides; (3) optimization of behavioral health access to facilitate convenings of ikon pass community partners to energize efforts to improve local mental healthcare systems; and (4) creating a toolkit for all ikon pass resorts that will provide resources on topics including suicide prevention, substance abuse, experienced trauma, grief, sexual consent, homesickness, and more .
