Our mission is to improve the lives of local families affected by Alzheimers & other dementias by increasing awareness, delivering effective programs & services, providing compassionate support, advocating for quality care and a cure, and supporting local research.

Professional Training: Alzheimers Los Angeles offers programs dedicated to helping healthcare professionals deliver quality care to people with dementia and their families. Training programs are tailored to those working in community-based residential-care and healthcare settings including but not limited to; providers, nurses, social workers, adult service providers, activity staff, direct careproviders, and administrators.

Public Awareness: Awareness of Alzheimers Greater Los Angeles and education about Alzheimers disease are key to accelerating progress. We strive to make more people aware of the services available for those facing this disease and the benefits of early detection. We also engage the media and our Alzheimers Greater Los Angeles "champions", encouraging them to advocate, donate, and participate to move thiscause forward.

Public Policy: As Alzheimers disease threatens to bankrupt families, businesses and our healthcare system, scientists are coming closer to finding better treatments that could drastically alter the course of the disease. The Alzheimers Greater Los Angeles public policy efforts provide an opportunity for individuals and families dealing with Alzheimers disease and related dementia to impact the decisions madeby state and federal legislators and government agencies.
