Service accomplishment #2: the amador county senior citizens facilitates the bi montly bus trips to reno nevada. This program provides safe and reliable transportation for seniors while encouraging travel and social engagement.
Service accomplishment #3: lunch program - the nutrition program works to provide fresh, home cooked meals to seniors in amador county. The goal is to end food scarcity, provide one-third of the daily dietary needs of seniors, and to create an environment for socialization and activity. In just under a year, we have served 4,823 in three distinct meal sites in amador county.
Service accomplishment #4: amador county senior citizens also maintains various smaller programs aimed to provide serices as needed to amador county seniors. These services include: 1. Emergency housing services; 2. Senior abuse reporting and counceling; 3. Legal & tax assistance ect.
