Mission
Primary exempt purpose is to provide educational benefits to the African-American population by funding scholarships for advanced degrees directly to individuals and educational institutions. Also, to provide programs to promote healthy lifestyles for Afican-American population.
Programs

Held series of Covid-19 Provider update and Education virtual sessions. Conducted education programs via conference calls, sponsored several radio commercials to reach communities regarding community the Covid-19 pandemic. Assisted AR Minority Health Commission in development of outreach plan for communities throughout Arkansas. Partnered with Arkansas Department of Health on Covid-19 mass vaccination events, community education & provider vaccinatin distribution. Sponsored with UAMS office of continued medical education conferences to provide attendees with conining education credits.
AMDPA secured grants from several generous organizations. These grants have been instrumental in advancing AMDPA's mission to address health equity concerns, the impact of COVID, and other diseases affecting underserved communities in Arkansas. These funds support various initiatives, including AMDPA Professional Education Sessions, COVID updates, Oral health programs Pharmacy Pipeline Grant, HIV screenings, and COVID radio advertisements, among others.
