Programs
3 programs
Be road safe africa - amend's "be road safe africa" program is a road safety initiative implemented in 2024 in botswana, tanzania, zambia, and zimbabwe. The program targets primary school students, delivering road safety education, organizing drawing competitions, and forming "be road safe africa" clubs. These activities aim to reduce road traffic injuries among children and promote road safety awareness. Highlights include the introduction of "kids' court," where children engage with drivers to promote safer driving habits. The program also engages local governments, schools, and communities to foster a broader culture of road safety across these countries.
Eacop - amend implements the eacop community road safety program to mitigate the risks posed by increased traffic from this large-scale infrastructure project by delivering road safety education to school children and communities, training motorcycle taxi riders, and conducting stakeholder engagement. It also conducts infrastructure safety assessments, develops injury response guidelines, and manages a monitoring and evaluation system to track crashes and risks along the project route. Additionally, amend supports the development of a similar road safety program in uganda by sharing expertise and materials with local partners.
Other programs: swiss embassy, moto safety for young people, tanga activities, lng mz, grsp/botnar tanga phase 2, puma commercial, road safety activities, general programs.
