To promote high quality evidence-based screening, assessment and treatment for substance use disorders and co-occurring mental disorders and to strengthen addiction psychiatry specialty training and education.

Pcss moud (providers clinical support system- medications for opioid use disorders): providers clinical support system-medications for opioid use disorders (pcssmoud)is made up of a coalition of major healthcare organizations all dedicated to addressing this healthcare crisis. Pcss-moud provides evidence-based training and resources to give healthcare providers the skills and knowledge they need to treat patients with opioid use disorders and chronic pain. Almost half a million individuals attended pcss-moud trainings.
The substance abuse and mental health services administration (samhsa) state opioid: response/tribal opioid response technical assistance (sor/tor ta) grant funds the opioid response network (orn). Orn provides no-cost ta covering evidence-based practices in prevention, harm reduction, treatment, and recovery of opioid use disorder, stimulant use disorders, other substance usedisorders and co-occurring psychiatric disorders. Through ta requests, regional summits and other orn-funded activities sponsored by orn partner organizations during this reporting period, orn has trained over 69,576 individuals
Development of meetings, publications, conferences, education, trainings, and seminars regarding psychiatry in the field of addictions.the annual meeting's goals and objectives consists of: recognizing emerging issues and trends in addiction psychiatry and be on the forefront of diagnosis and treatment of substance use disorders (sud) and co-occurring mental disorders, provide support and education to addiction psychiatrists and clinicians treating patients with substance use disorders, and demonstrate for trainees the various evidence-based approaches, treatments, and settings applicable to the field (or practice) of addiction psychiatry. Approximately 505 members were in attendance at the annual meeting.
