Member services - advocated on behalf of 4,500 members for increased investment in family medicine which included closing the uninsured/underinsured coverage gap in rural areas and the establishment of a family medicine loan forgiveness pilot; advocated for less administrative burden in the healthcare system and increased payment rates for primary care services; advocated on behalf of primary care throughout the ongoing medicaid transition to managed care and for the full scope of family medicine in addressing behavioral health; advocated on behalf of employed family physicians within large health systems and among payers; and served on numerous taskforces and policy groups, advocating on behalf of family physicians and patients in north carolina.

Communications and publications - provided communication services to over 4,500 members through a quarterly printed magazine, regularly scheduled podcasts, and over 50 e-newsletters. Throughout the year, the ncafp sent out regular e-communications and e-bulletins to keep ncafp members informed about the latest developments taking place in healthcare.
