Public policy / education: advocates on behalf of the hiv care provider at the federal and state levels for issue relevant to clinial and professional support.

Sexual health education: this sexual health curriculum represents the fundamental skills that a provider with sexual health competency possesses. They are arranged as high-level courses with the corresponding individual modules comprising each course. Woven throughout each module are concepts relating to relevant patient populations, including people of specific sex, gender, age, race and other characteristics. There is an emphasis on diversity, inclusivity and sex positivity. The curriculum emphasizes an interdisciplinary approach to sexual health, supporting a web of knowledge that can be appropriately applied to each unique patient's needs.

Workshops: each year, aahivm conducts a series of live cme workshops across the country on a topic relevant to providing quality hiv care. These workshops are free and open to both aahivm members and non-members
