Programs

Healthy People 2030 - The Chapter completed a 2-year grant with the goal of improving vaccine uptake in early childhood and HPV vaccination rates in children ages 9 and above. The chapter continues to work with local community and District officials to overcome misinformation and promote vaccine confidence.
Safe Sleep initiatives - DCAAP launched a safe sleep program for at-risk families identifed through and Emergency Departement intervention program. Nearly 100 at-risk families were provided safe sleep kits and information. Additionally, the chapter is supporting the development of a safe sleep children's book to share best practices with parents.
All other programs - Catch program, IZ Health Equity-RSV Covid Flu, IZ Grants - Measles, Abbott Nutrition, SUID Champion Grant, Educational Fund, Prolacta, Prime, AAP Food Insecurity.
AAP Programs - AAP Food Insecurity: The chapter continues its third year of Building Pediatrician Capacity in Food Insecurity with the launch of a pilot program for electronic referrals to the DC Government's Women, Infants and Children (DC WIC) program.
