Liver leaders council: the liver leaders council (llc) is a corporate partnership program launched by the aasld foundation in 2023 which will engage industry partners annually through a portfolio of benefits, services, and strategic stakeholder conversations offered by both aasld and the aasld foundation.in addition to a portfolio of discounts, event participation opportunities and branding, the liver leaders council will meet twice per year (spring- in conjunction with digestive diseases week and fall- at the liver meeting) for an exclusive liver leaders council summit. These meetings will be focused on emerging issues across the spectrum of liver disease, bringing together industry, member-leader experts, regulators, and patients/patient advocacy groups to engage in strategic conversations around shared opportunities and challenges.
Emerging liver scholars: the emerging liver scholars (els) program promotes the study of hepatology among medical, surgical and pediatric residents who have the potential for a career in academic medicine and who haven't yet determined their longterm career goals. The els program is supported by aasld and aasld foundation as part of its continuing mission to inspire and invest in the next generation of hepatologists.
Public awareness: the foundation works to increase public awareness of liver disease by maintaining information on its website aasldfoundation.org, and by exhibiting and distributing information at meetings and conventions focused on liver disease.
