Mission
To ensure quality & competency in the recruitment of internationally trained professionals to supplement the American healthcare workforce. To encourage ethical business practices in international recruitment; and to create and foster public awareness on the industrys positive impact on healthcare in the United States.

AAIHR maintained and enforced its industry-leading Code of Ethics which all member organizations are required to follow. The Independent Review Board IRB investigated potential violations and upheld standards that ensure international healthcare professionals are treated with dignity and fairness. This governance structure reinforces AAIHRs commitment to ethical recruitment practices.
Through its Media Center and public outreach campaigns AAIHR educated the public and healthcare stakeholders about the critical role of international healthcare professionals in addressing the U.S. nursing shortage. The association published op-eds responded to media inquiries and provided expert commentary on workforce challenges and immigration policy.
