Gifted smiles is a program of the american association of orthodontists foundation (aaof) that provides the conduit to orthodontic treatment for children that lack access to care. Our purpose remains the same as the day the program was founded more than a decade ago, to create opportunities for children to access professional, individualized, orthodontic intervention, by creating a volunteer network of aao members.
Any aao member who is the victim of a natural disaster may apply to the aao disaster relief fund for a grant (up to $5,000) to assist in restoring, repairing, or reconstructing a practice facility owned by the applicant, or the dental equipment and supplies therein.
