To serve its members by advancing the field of brachytherapy, by promoting excellence in education, research and clinical practice, and by representing brachytherapy specialists and their patients.

School programs : the school program's vision is to increase patient access to high quality prostate brachytherapy. Their goals are to improve education and training of hdr/ldr brachytherapy, to facilitate a more rapid transition from education to practice implementation, to ensure high quality brachytherapy delivery, and to communicate the value of brachytherapy.
Publications : the society publishes the journal "brachytherapy", an international and multidisciplinary journal. "brachytherapy" publishes original peer-reviewed articles and laboratory and experimental research relevant to clinical practice.
