Building a trained workforce of addiction medicine physician experts through support of one-year graduate medical education addiction medicine fellowships. Enhance the availability and quality of addiction medicine services throughout health care by maintenance of certifications of physicians who have demonstrated core competencies essential for effective treatment and prevention.

Moc additionaly gives this public assurance that abam-certified physicians are maintaining high standards of clinical care throughout their career.
