Mission
The mission of the organization is to create dynamic leaders by providing professional growth opportunities resulting on the overall improvement of healthcare in Texas. The organization intends to be the professional membership socieity for healthcare executives in North Texas, to meet its members' professional, educational and leadership needs, to promote high ethical standards of conduct to advance healthcare leadership and management excellence and to promote the mission of the American College of Healtcare Executives.
Programs

The Student Council focuses on offering programs and services to support studentsstudying to move into healthcare administration. This includes the annual studentcase study competition and the annual New Horizons event.
The Communications Committee provides support in promoting and maintaining communications among Chapter members through print and electronic mediums to ensure effective and timely communication among the Chapter members.Participates in the activities of the communications committee as outlined below.Executive Connection Newsletter: Identify story ideas, write content as appropriate,identify sources for feature articles.Social Media Subcommittee: Support the chapters online presence by building community and connectivity and enhancing outreach and branding.Serve as a liaison to an assigned chapter committee to gather and provide content for the Chapters weekly emails, website, social media pages, and newsletter.Submit relevant and timely articles to the newsletter, website, or social mediasubcommittees Committee representation (2-4 members) at all chapter events for event write-ups,member spotlight interviews and photographs for the newsletter and social media posting.
The Education Committee provides assistance in planning, developing and implementing programs for the educational and professional development of its Chapter members. Committee members assist with program management by actively participating in the planning and execution of chapter education events.Responsibilities:Develop an annual calendar of education programs with no less than 12 face to facecredit hours offered annually.Collaborate with other professional organizations to establish mutually beneficialopportunities.Continually explore opportunities to enhance Chapter education programs.Give adequate time and energy to the duties of being a committee member.Research sites for events and follow through on all of the obligations of the contract made with the site at which the program will be held.Select, invite, and follow up with faculty to ensure participation in programs.Coordinate education needs portion of chapter survey.Revise promotional pieces to publicize events.Provide quarterly committee updates (promotions, articles, recognition, etc.) to thenewsletter editor.
Through strategic partnerships and stewardship, the D&I Committee is designed to promote intercultural dialogue in ACHE where all members, at all levels, can fully realize their potential. Find opportunities to increase a culture of diversity and inclusion across ACHE, such as assisting other committees in recruiting diverse panels and connecting with diverse leaders across DFW.Support D&I Committees subgroups and diversity-focused community partners, such as but not limited to: WHEN, ALHF, NALHE, NAHSE.
The Mentorship Committee member provides support by contributing to the planning, process improvement and execution of the mentorship program for chapter members. Responsibilities:Develop/modify mentor and mentee applicationsCreate calendar of events for program including interviews, orientation, networking event and closing ceremonyRecruit mentors and menteesMatch mentors and menteesFacilitate feedback with program participants
The Advancement Committe contributes by identifying members who are eligible to advance to Fellow, coordinating educational activities, identify educational resources, and evaluate member satisfaction to achieve annual advancement goals. Encourage eligible candidates to complete the application and take the BOG exam
