Mission
Acro strives to ensure the highest quality care for radiation therapy patients and promotes success in the practice of radiation oncology through education, responsible socioeconomic advocacy and integration of science and technology into clinical practice.
Programs

Member meetings and communications: the acro annual meeting provides members with the opportunity to learn and discuss the scientific basis for current therapeutic managment and other topics relating to the field of radiation oncology. In addition, in order to ensure that the members have the most up to date information, acro sends weekly newsletters to the members with the latest research and medical findings in the field of radiation oncology.
Advocacy: changes in washington are never-ending, but one thing remains the same acros unwavering commitment to cancer patients and the radiation oncologists who provide their care. Acro keeps an eye on washington and the centers for medicare and medicaid services with experienced, effective, and intelligent legislative counsel while you take care of your patients. The college keeps members informed of legislative updates through its weekly e-newsletter, via social media.
As part of acro's mission to support radiation oncology professionals, they provide small grants to individuals to either assist with education costs or research costs in the field of radiation oncology.
