Legislative activisim for matters of vital interest to union members across the state. Weekly meetings with member unions and related groups, public dissemination of information relevant to upcoming legislation and legislative hearings such as minimum wage legislation in keeping with our mission statement in regards to question 1.

Education & community services for members and the general public through an annual community services institute, a biennial convention, and constant educational outreach and programs through a planned coordination of services and events around the state.

To further the programs and policies of the national afl-cio by aiding workers in securing improved wages, hours & working conditions through the forming of labor unions; to aid these unions to secure legislation that safeguards these same principles; to build strong political and community organizations to promote these principles and to encourage the production and consumption of union-made products and services.
