Mission
To work for the welfare of the teachers and school children of Port Washington, promote the general welfare of the school system, stimulate interest in professional ethics, to form a representative body on behalf of teachers, and to promote understanding and cooperation between teachers and the community.

The Port Washington Teachers Association Retired Educators Chapter contributes to a scholarship fund, holds and annual breakfast, luncheon, publishes a newsletter, holds trips,and attends conferences and conventions, supports state and national education issues, corresponds frequently with retiree and in-service members regarding important issues; there are 2 general membership meetings, and frequent contact with legislators.
