The american federation of teachers has training sessions for teachers from around the country. After completing this training, these teachers are able to conduct training sessions for other teachers/paraprofessionals. Also included are orientation programs for all new employees at the start of each school year plus a new teacher/employee induction program with follow-up sessions during the school year.
The organization negotiates and enforces collective bargaining agreements.
