United Faculty and Academic Staff #223 is a labor union representing and supporting the common interest of workers among the faculty and academic staff at UW-Madison. Our activities include supporting grievance processes for members, sponsoring seminars and courses on worker's rights and interests, holding teach-ins and demonstrations related to labor issues facing teachers and staff, collectively advocating to leadership for increases in compensation, benefits, and treatment of workers, providing mutual aid and strike funds, and contributing to local, state, and national efforts covering the same.
