American Legion

The american legion is an organization of people who served in the military. They were able to promote the social welfare of the community by sponsoring and supporting the local american legion baseball teams. They assisted disabled and needy war veterans in times of need, sponsored and participated in activities of a patriotic nature including support at parades and other patriotic events and provided social and recreational activities for their members. They were able to meet these accomplishments using the funds raised from the sale of inventory items.
