The roosevelt-aurora post #84 of the american legion was one of the first charter posts in the united states in 1919 and is a patriotic veterans organization devoted to mutual helpfulness. There are over 300 wartime veterans in the aurora, il. Veteran service organization. The post is committed to mentoring youth, sponsoring wholesome programs in the community (which includes the annual independence day parade) advocating patriotism and honor, and devotion and support to fellow service members and veterans.
