Post 469 membership is exclusively honorably discharged veterans or active duty military. It is the anchor for a 501 C 7 organization known as a Home Association which exists for the purpose of supporting American Legion Post 469 and the Ladies Auxiliary Chapter 469 and the Sons of The American Legion Squadron 469. Combined these organizations exist to fulfil the patriotic purposes expressed in their constitution's preambles which are prominently posted in their canteen.
