Mission
In the spirit of service, not self, the mission of the american legion auxiliary is to support the american legion and to honor the sacrifice of those who serve by enhancing the lives of our veterans, military, and their families, both at home and abroad. For god and country, we advocate for veterans, educate our citizens, mentor youth, and promote patriotism, good citizenship, peace and security.
Programs

The children & youth program emphasizes protecting, caring for, and supporting children and youth, particularly those of veterans- and military families. The unit provided food, clothing toys and services to needy military families during the holiday season.
The purpose of the ala national security committee is to maintain and promote a strong national defense, strengthen our military families, and prepare our population for response to natural and other disasters. The unit provides service and donations to programs that support active military and local first responders in support of our national security. These are a few of the organizations that support active military families. Blue and gold star mothers, uso, rotc/jrotc, clearwater coast guard air station and operation home front.
The auxiliary provides grants to other charities that that have an impact on your community in regards to our mission. These additional donations are reviewed and approved with discretion of the governing body.
