To present concerts and to perform at various events of a civic, cultural, educational, charitable or patriotic nature in manner that reflects credit upon the band, the american legion post 264 and the community; to facilitate development of its members' musical skills through the voluntary utilization of their talents; to provide fellowship and entertainement for them through the band's activities; to promote an interest and an appreciation among its members and the community at large for band music; to foster and encourage original music compositions for band for performance by its members; and lawfully to do any and all things necessary, suitable and proper for the accomplishment of these purposes.
