Community assistance- ama gives back was founded in 2008 as the philanthropic arm of ama houston. They assist local area students and non-profit organizations with the gift of education and further assistance in their marketing efforts through grants and the penny todd scholarship. -> grants- each year, ama distributes a portion of the chapter's net income in the form of ama gives back grants. Since 2008, ama gives back has provided nearly 200,000 in grants to houston non-profits to assist and educate them in their marketing efforts. See schedule o for further information

Networking & career resources- weekly employment resource newsletter- ama houston provides a free weekly job posting newsletter update via e-mail to its members which lists marketing related job opportunities in the houston area. A nominal fee is paid by the listing companies to advertise their job openings in this beneficial resource. Ama houston's members that post a job opening receive a discount. The newsletter further goes to promote the mission of ama in elevating the city's marketing community. Throughout the fiscal year, more than 300 local marketing jobs were posted to the platform.
