The 70th annual scientific meeting is a 4 day event that over 650 professionals attended. The meeting consists of scientific lectures, cytology workshops, special courses, diagnostic seminars, poster and platform sessions, panel luncheon seminars, video microscope tutorials, roundtable discussions and technical exhibits.the meeting is available to and attended by pathologists, cytopathologists, cytotechnologists, residents fellows, students, and other members of related medical and scientific fields.

The ascs continuing education efforts started at the initial annual meeting in 1953 and has contiued for 70 years. The educational programs of the asc are of prime importance to its members and the to the experimental/newly available techniques into reserach and clinical practice, and addresses this need through its educational programs. To meet the educational needs of its constituents , the asc has developed an ambitious set of intergrated activities; annual meeting, cyto-econference, advanced cytopathology education course, case studies, ejournal, progressive evaluation of competency, cell talks and cell web site.

Cprc cytotechnology programs review committee - conducts on-site surveys of cytotechnology schools and makes recommendations for accreditation to caahep.
