Form 990, part iii, line 1, description of organization mission: interior design profession and, in the process, to demonstrate and celebrate the power of design to positively change peoples' lives. More than 23,000 members engage in a variety of professional programs and activities through a network of 46 chapters throughout the united states and canada.
Programs

Marketing and communications develops strategies to communicate the asid brand and the interior design profession to the public using communications, marketing, social media, and media relations tactics. Also includes expenses for communicating news and benefits to members through i+d magazine, and through various e-communications (e.g. Newsletters, eblasts, web, and social media)
Asid advantage asid advantage manages and promotes the affinity programs, such as the job bank and insurance. Also included are member sales from find a pro, e-blast, contract sales and online development programs.
Meetings, events, and education using the career path as its guide, asid curates in-person and online education and engagement for every stage of the interior designer's career. In addition, asid participates in external tradeshows and events to deliver education around leadership, design, and business skills.
