The verified travel advisor (vta) certification program, launched in 2017, continues to grow and strengthen the profession by offering members comprehensive training, ethical standards, and verifiable credentials that enhance professional credibility and consumer trust.
Destination education - through its destination education initiatives, asta provides travel advisors with in-depth training focused on specific destinations and regions around the world. These programs are offered through events such as asta's destination expo and regional showcases, which combine classroom learning with immersive, on-site experiences designed to build expertise and strengthen destination partnerships.participation in these programs typically ranges from 50 to 500 attendees annually, depending on the event and location. These educational offerings help advisors expand their destination knowledge and increase sales opportunities through enhanced client service.
