Legal and government affairs: - fielded calls and emails from member companies regarding the legal and operational implications of legislation and regulations; published comprehensive issue papers and legal resources on timely legal topics; hosted webinars on same- managed ongoing litigation challenging state laws in illinois and new jersey mandating equal pay and benfits for temporary workers and nevada law barring use of staffing agencies to supply skilled construction workers- participated in workgroup calls of national institute for occupational safety and health (niosh) services sector council and jointly promoted staffing firm best practice document regarding temporary worker safety and wellbeing through media, webinars, and conference presentations, drafted host employer best practice document- met monthly with the department of labor's office of disability employment policy (odep) as part of formal alliance effort to promote work opportunities to those with disabilities- met with osha alliance representative to discuss 2024 product proposals; attended annual osha alliance program - engaged in federal and state advocacy- held successful staffing law & compliance conference- produced legal line videos to educate members

Member services: - facilitated monthly networking calls for 112 ceos representing firms of various sizes, providing strategic guidance on business challenges, growth opportunities, and industry best practices.- created a monthly networking platform for 719 small business owners to support peer connections, business development, and strategic planning initiatives.- represented the association at key industry conferences to advance asa's mission and promote member service offerings.- led six specialized member groups focused on business improvement and growth across key staffing sectors: engineering, it & scientific; health care; office-administrative; industrial; professional-managerial; and direct-hire. Held networking calls, webinars, and in person training to address current business issues. Developed white-papers, toolkits, and resources to help members with business operations. - managed the women in leadership interest group, driving leadership development across career stages through webinars, in-person events, and networking programs. Awarded eight scholarships to rising women leaders in the staffing industry. - oversaw the inclusion, diversity, equity, and advocacy (idea) interest group, delivering networking opportunities, training programs, and practical resources to support member firms in building dei strategies.- sustained an ongoing partnership with the office of disability employment policy (odep) to offer staffing firms best practices for recruiting, retaining, and advancing individuals with disabilities.- held virtual networking opportunities for staffing firm recruiters, operations leaders, and sales professionals to address current business challenges and opportunities. - directed asa volunteer engagement, ensuring standing committees effectively advanced the association's mission and strategic priorities in advocacy, research, education, and professional standards. Selected one volunteer as the association's volunteer of the year. - maintained and supported a robust mentoring program comprising 161 mentor-mentee pairs to foster career development and peer learning across the staffing industry.- monitored and enhanced asa central, the members-only online community platform, enabling peer connection, business advice, and resource sharing.- provided strategic guidance and support to 16 affiliated state chapters, including assistance with strategic planning, program development, and securing high-value speakers for events.
