Mission
Ags' mission is to reduce hunger by connecting the fishing industry to food banks so seafood left after the harvest can be gleaned to feed food insecure people. We coordinate the gleaning program with regulatory and non-governmental organizations involved in collecting, processing and distributing foodresources. We want to educate the public on how seafood gleaning can reduce hunger andnutrition-related health issues amongst low-income families. Ags provides data to oversight agencies and organizations for improved fishery management.
