Mission

The mission of amigos de santa cruz is to improve the lives of the indigenous people of santa cruz la laguna and surrounding villages through support for education and sustainable economic empowerment.

Programs

1 program

Educational programs amigos is in the process of opening an independent, community-based primary school that will offer quality education to the children of santa cruz in grades kindergarten through 6th grade, growing by one grade each year until it is full in 2030. We also provide sexual and reproductive health training and life planning for older youth, and scholarships so that students may continue their education at the middle, high school and university level. Together, these efforts are transforming education in santa cruz, providing a positive learning experience and the tools for children to become critical thinkers and strong future leaders of their community.
