Programs
6 programs
Antiracist Practice Cohort: This cohort uses a healing centered, liberatory framework to address inequities and structural harm, affirm the dignity and cultural wealth of communities, and to develop policies, practices, and institutions that affirm the fullness of our humanity and build toward our collective well-being. AMPT's Antiracist Practice Cohort aims to build the capacity of nonprofit organizations, with budgets less than $500,000 on the south and west sides of Chicago. This cohort has supported 31 organizations over 4 years, with the 5th cohort prepared to begin in 2025.
Earned Revenue: AMPT partners with external organizations to build customized capacity-building experiences for nonprofit leaders that can include capacity-building content sessions led by experts in the nonprofit field, focused on: Leadership Development, Human-Centered Relationships, Board Engagement and Governance, Evaluation and Learning, Financial Planning, Fundraising and Grant Writing, and Communications and Marketing.
Executive Coaching: AMPT provides nonprofit leaders with access to quality executive coaching support. Nonprofit leaders encounter significant challenges and dilemmas as they build the capacity of their organization and need 1:1 support in navigating these challenges. We know that coaching can play a transformative role in leadership development. Therefore, AMPT provides the services and expertise of an executive coach for up to 10 hours over 8 months to support nonprofit leaders as they work towards their organizational goals and develop their leadership.
Board Training Cohort: AMPTs Build Your Board Cohort, aims to prepare nonprofit organizations on how to build the board members and champions they need to help move their organization's mission forward. By the end of the program, participants will have a draft action plan, based on their organizational needs.
AMPT Up Your Org Workshop Series: Through virtual capacity-building webinars, AMPT provides an opportunity for nonprofit organizations to gain access to specific expertise, templates, tools, and skills that will support organizations in building their capacity. We host up to 8 virtual workshops through the year on topics ranging from Program Development to Nonprofit Accounting.
Democratizing Non-Profit Evaluation Cohort: This cohort aims to build the capacity of participants to develop and implement evaluation strategies for program improvement, stakeholder engagement, and collaborative data planning. Over 6 months, participants gain the tools, skills, and competencies necessary to develop and implement evaluation strategies based on organizational needs, goals, and community context.
