Mvt: archaeological excavation at the menkaure valley temple site
Giza & cairo center project - the "cairo center" has been officially named the mark lehner center. Located in giza, egypt, the lehner center is a compound of buildings that includes a villa containing the archives of over 25 years of field expeditions in giza, mit rahina and luxor. It also houses a computer lab, lecture hall/library, laundry facilities, kitchen and staff quarters. The lehner center is meant to be the home of an archaelogical community that brings together archaeologists from egypt and around the worls in a mutually beneficial exchange of values and ideas.
Director's research fund: the research program allows time and resources to the director and senior staff to follow research topics which inform decision making for future field programs and publications.
Fieldwork: aera's excavations program is an archaeological research program at giza, focused on excavations of ancient egyptian settlements at the southern base of the giza plateau.
Lab season: aera's lab season focuses on support for excavations including intake of all material culture remains, registration of material, and instant analyses to help the excavators understand the contexts encountered; detailed analyses of classes of material culture to produce reports and scientific papers
