Charitable assistance: to provide funds and assistance to individuals and/or orghanizations for religious, charitable, scientific, literary, and educational purposes. Charity is one of the fundamental principles of freemasonry and is evidenced through its support of a variety of worthwhile causes. In 2023 mosaic lodge awarded grants totaling $16,550 to ten qualified non-profit organizations, awarded $2000 scholarships to five outstanding high school seniors to assist them in pursuing a post-seconfary education, and granted $750 to one lodge member who was in need of charitable assistance. Masonic charity, however, goes beyond that of financial assistance and is evidenced through its members acts, kindness, and service to those in need of assistance whether they be masons or not.
