Mission

The mission of the Animal Adoption Center is to save lives of homeless animals through rescue, adoption, education and spay/neuter services.

Programs

2 programs

Millions of adoptable cats and dogs are euthanized in America each year due to overcrowding in shelters. In 2009, the AAC launched the Spay/Neuter Wyoming program. This program is designed to attack the root of the pet overpopulation problem through spay/neuter. Our strategy includes hosting free mobile clinics on the Wind River Reservation (WRR), providing low-income vouchers in eight communities, and offering spay/neuter assistance to regional partners. In total, this program has supported over 22,000 spay/ neuter surgeries statewide and beyond.

Expenses: $152K

All AAC animals are vaccinated, micro-chipped, and spayed or neutered prior to adoption. The AAC also provides specialized medical treatment or comprehensive care for animals that, without medical intervention, may be deemed unadoptable.
