Mission
The primary goal of the Corporation is to prevent unnecessary suffering of animals and to educate pet owners on humane care of their pets This is accomplished by 1 providing financial assistance to low-income pet owners who cannot otherwise afford pet care and 2 operating a sanctuary for rescue-transferred or owner surrendered beagles Pet care is defined as veterinary services medications pet food and other necessities as determined by the Board Education is defined as community outreach and grassroots education of pet owners on the importance of providing their pets with proper food water humane shelter and veterinary care Providing these services will reduce the number of pets being surrendered to shelters pets being abandoned by their owners and economic euthanasia of pets The program is based upon income eligibility and goes by the Federal poverty guidelines
